Roberto Mighty is an award-winning filmmaker, television producer, multimedia artist, educator and musician. He currently has three programs simultaneously on PBS TV stations nationwide. His immersive, interactive exhibitions and artist talks take place online, in museums, colleges, galleries, community organizations and visitor centers. August 2020: Legacy of Love premier on WGBH-TV
2020: Completion of exhibit featuring people aged 50-100 across the USA for "getting dot older", an original documentary and multimedia installation about aging across America.
2018 - 2019: Commissioned by King Boston to produce and direct America’s first documentary, multimedia and online project about Martin Luther King, Jr and Coretta Scott King’s pivotal years in Boston in the early 1950’s.
2018-Present: Screenwriter, “Wildfire”, debut narrative feature film on the incredible life and mysterious death of Mary Edmonia Lewis, America’s first internationally renowned 19th century African-American / Native-American woman artist
2018: Multimedia Artist: “Air • Sea • Sand”, creating new immersive nature exhibit that takes audiences where the sea meets the shore and the air binds them together. This program, designed for museum installations, is inspired by the writings of French aviator Antoine de Saint Exupéry, author of The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) and Wind, Sand and Stars (Terres des hommes)
2017 - 2018: Director, Favorite Poem Project Video Series, five short films on poetry. Commissioned by Dr. Robert Pinsky, Poet Laureate of the United States 1997-2000. Funded by Boston University Arts Initiative. Archived at the US Library of Congress. (Director/DP/Editor)
2014 - 2016: Inaugural Artist-in-Residence at the 183 year old Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and America's first cemetery artist-in-residence. The 174 acre cemetery, founded in 1831, is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places and is a U.S. National Historic Landmark. Creates "earth dot sky", a site-specific, multi-screen digital multimedia installation based on the landscape of the cemetery and the stories of some of the 98,000 people buried there. 2016: Urban Mediamakers Film Festival, Atlanta, Official Selection: “Peach Pie”

2016: Completes "Jesseca Ferguson: Cabinet of Curiosity". Documentary artist profile of renowned book artist and pinhole photographer. (Director/DP/Editor)
2016: Completes "Charles Coe: Man of Letters". Documentary artist profile of critically-acclaimed poet. (Director/DP/Editor)
2015: Designs Projections and Sound for "The Draft", an original play touring New England by British author Peter Snoad, directed by Diego Arciniegas, with Lighting Design by Wen-Ling Liao. At Hibernian Hall in Roxbury, MA.
2015: Builds a new studio in Boston's Fort Point Channel arts district. The studio is his laboratory for film, video, interactive multiscreen projections, digital editing and online work.
2015: Completes "Bird Garden", a short film short about Jean-Pierre Ducondi - an artist, a garden, and wild birds. (Director/DP/Editor)
2014: Guest Artist at the Truro Center for the Arts Gallery at Castle Hill. His video/audio exhibit debuts on July 3rd: "Wind, Sand & Stars", based on the landscape, skies and waters of Cape Cod and inspired by the book "Terres Des Hommes" by French writer and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, also author of "The Little Prince".
2014: Boston Convention & Exhibition Center features two of his short films, “Walkers: lightDark” and “Cloud Lightning” in their Summer Solstice event, opening June 19th.
2013: "Trees of My City" on exhibit at Scandinavian Cultural Center in Newton, Massachusetts.
2013: Completes four online video films for Harvard Forest on the plight of the Eastern Hemlock tree species, Tsuga canadensis.
2013: Original film about ecology, “Cloud Lightning”, premiered at the National Science Foundation headquarters in Reston, VA.
2013: Designed Projections and Sound for Actor’s Shakespeare Company’s MacBeth
2013:”The Magnificent Splendor of Trees” Photograph in group show at Cahoon Museum, Cotuit, MA
2012: Designed Projections for Elie Wiesel’s Zalmen, or the Madness of God at The Lab at Harvard (2012)
2011 - 2012: Artist-in-Residence at Harvard Forest, Harvard's 3,500-acre, Long Term Ecological Research site. Multimedia exhibit at Harvard’s Fisher Museum of Forestry, “First Contact: Puritans, Native Americans and the Clash Over Land in 1630” on view from September to October, 2012 .
2011: “Trees of My City”, on exhibit at The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.
2011: Receives Master of Fine Arts in the Visual Arts from Lesley University's Art Institute of Boston.
2010: Began one year process of imaging dormant and decaying trees using four types of cameras in a single American city. Subsequent multimedia exhibit, Trees of My City, exhibited at Harvard, etc. (see above).
2009: After successful careers as TV Producer, Music Writer/Producer and Audiobook Producer, enrolls in graduate MFA program at Lesley University
2007 - Present: Adjunct Professor at Emerson College, an Instructor at American Graphics Institute and also taught at Boston University’s College of Communication and Center for Digital Art.
